BRASIL - LAST TWO DAYS

FRIDAY
Decided to watch Brasil and Netherland game on Cococabana beach and got there about 110.30. It was pumping all the way down there. Having learned that it would befutile to get into the Fifa Fun Park, we got ourselves a spot at the back on the beach. Everyone dressed in Brasilian colours and singing and dancing.
So observing the crowd during the match, everytime Brasil made a favourable move, it was cheers, Everytime Netherland made a favourable move - dead silence. Not a boo, not a jeer. And that was how the game ended too. I expected some typical European soccer behaviour or at the least some outcry, some noise, some scuffle. When the whistle went signalling the end of the game, it was just a mass of people making there way off the beach to the bus stop, chatting like it was just another day.Amazing!
We went up the beach, had a couple of beers and a swim and then headed back to the hostel at about 3pm.
That night went partying in Lapa in the streets and hit bed about 5am Saturday morning.
SATURDAY
Up at 9.30 to have my last breakfast. Watched the Germans wiping out Argentinia. Celebrations all around - Brasilians happy to see Argentinia out of world cup. At 1.30 said my goodbyes and headed off to the airport
for Bolivia.
I could have stayed in Rio forever
